Biography

Savitski Design, located in Ann Arbor’s historic Nickels Arcade, is a graphic design firm specializing in print, book, web, and identity-based projects.

Mike Savitski founded the firm in 1994 and has an established list of institutional, academic, and arts-related clients.

The firm’s work has been recognized nationally by Communication Arts and Print magazines, The American Institute of Graphic Arts including their “50 Books of the Year” competition, The American Association of Museums, The Association of American University Presses, The Independent Publisher Book Awards, The Council for Advancement and Support of Education, The Type Directors Club of New York, the Chicago Book Clinic, and the American Advertising Federation.

Mike has designed seven books which have received the “Notable Book of the Year” award from the State Library of Michigan.

Mike served a term as Adjunct Assistant Professor of Art at the University of Michigan School of Art and Design, and has given talks at many colleges and universities.
